SUCCESSFUL PROMOTION OF SLOVENIAN CULTURAL COMMUNITY

Slovenian cultural community “France Presern”, that works in Nisava district, organized in the hall of Cultural Center of Nis concert of Slovenian songs performed by Hunting singing choir from Medvoda near Ljubljana in Slovenia. To this interesting event in culture attended many guests, members of Slovenian community in Nis, representatives of City Municipality of Palilula. By the words of Slavoljub Savic, head of Municipal administration associate of Palilula Municipality, this event but and other contents supports Palilula Municipality and City of Nis in the aim of achieve good cooperation in the area of economic and culture with Republic of Slovenia. Hunting choir from Medvode in Ljubljana, is male choir, which successfully perform more then 34 years achieving performances in various places in Slovenia but at times and in other European countries. This clique, which belongs to the Cultural and Artistic Society Simon Jenko, perform composition of Slovenian authors and Slovenian national songs. For this year tour in the countries of former Yugoslavia, in their repertoire, choir has included several songs from our region. Setting of Hunting choir makes about 20 singers of different age and occupations, of which only a few are hunters. From 1991, choir leads Janez Cadez.
